Things I Love this Week

1. Makemania Black Eyeliners from Japan.

I bought both the liquid ( pen) and the kohl and the both were about the same price as MAC and had great staying power. The kohl pencil was not as soft as MAC's Smolder [pencil] but I liked that it didn't smudge.
The liquid came in a pen form with a synthetic brush tip. It is much like Chanel's Style Liner Liquid but you don't had to twist this one. There is a constant flow that isn't runny and dries quick. I couldn't ask for more from a liner. Each were under $15 and can be found at a popular Japanese grocery store in San Francisco http://www.nijiya.com/ or Online http://www.webichi.com

2. L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate-Free Moisture Conditioner.

I haven't bought drug store brand hair product in a really long time but this product has impressed me. I bought it on a whim one night when I needed to buy new conditioner and my local beauty supply was closed. Sulfates are in a lot of shampoos and conditioner. They are damaging to your hair so when I saw that L'Oreal had a conditioner that was sulfate free and under ten bucks, I had to give it a try. I've been using it for a month now and my hair feels great. It's a great alternative for people who are on budget and have color treated head. I bought my bottle for seven dollars at CVS but prices me vary from city and store. I may also add that it smells wonderful, like rosemary and mint.

3. Southern Vampire Mystery Series.
Team Bill? Team Eric? Regardless of team you're on HBO's TrueBlood has reawakened vamp fans all over the country. So why do I have books listed when I'm talking about a show? The show is an adaptation of the SMV series and as a person who loves to read and loves to share I have to share these with you. All nine books are amazing and if you read and already love the show I can guarantee you will like the books. With any adaptation you will notice differences between the two but it's nothing to worry about. Each book is funny, sexy and exciting. True Blood fans, there is only three more episodes left, why not pick up book 3 (Club Dead) to help past the time until next season. You won't be disappointed and since True Blood isn't exactly like the book nothing will be spoiled. Reading isn't just for nerds, it helps your vocabulary and reduces stress. For 8 bucks a pop you can escape to Louisiana, where the vampires don't sparkle and actually bite people.

4. Clarins Intense Bronze Self Tanning Tint
Talk about tanning bed in a bottle. I love, love, love this product. A little bit of it's light liquid formula goes a long way. For under forty dollars you can have an instant tan without the fake orange glow. The product is meant for your face but I've used it on my arms, chest and even my legs. The tint last for about a week. It doesn't moisturize so I suggest applying a moisturizer (face and body) prior to avoid any uneven areas. Lots of color, little time and best of all -zero sun damage.

5. Mars Fling Chocolate.
Yummy chocolate, under 85 calories a stick? And here I thought the word fling implied something naughty. I'm a girl with a huge sweet tooth and this is the first 'diet' treat I have fallen in love with. Each stick had a truffle layer that's followed by a light crispy one. They are so good you'd think they're lying about the calorie content. You can find them at most grocery and drug stores in California. They are not being sold in stores other than CA but you can buy them online. More information of these treats can be found at http://www.flingchocolate.com/
